Every NPC generated on npccard.com is assigned a rarity tier. About ~5% of all characters are epic. Epic NPCs command respect. Their cards shimmer with a holographic foil — a visual hint at the power within.
Rarity affects your NPC's level range, card frame color, and — for Epic and Legendary — adds a holographic shimmer effect to the collectible card.
