Every NPC generated on npccard.com is assigned a rarity tier. About ~3% of all characters are legendary. Legendary NPCs are one-in-a-thousand. Their rainbow foil cards are the crown jewels of any collection. If you got one, screenshot it.
Rarity affects your NPC's level range, card frame color, and — for Epic and Legendary — adds a holographic shimmer effect to the collectible card.
